The Rise of the Planet of the Apes

All I can say this move is badass!!! best movie of 2011 hands down..... just go watch and see...

Its one of a kind and a step back from all this comic book hype where they ruin all the super heroes i grew up with!

GO and watch it now!!!

Bunch of Haters! For the big blockbusters these days that get super hype this compared to most of them I thought it was a clever movie and beyond the same old hero is cool, then gets beat down , then is cool again. Also i was comparing it to those types of movies as it is a remake and should be included in those genres.

Might as well rename the thread the Movie Thread. The music thread is popular maybe we can get some feedback on some movies here :)

Arn the Knight Templar

Our movie thread has some serious dust gathering on it...hey I was searching Netflix for something decent to watch and came across the flik "Arn the Knight Templar"

After watching 5 episodes I must say I'm quite impressed. The film is a joint production between Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Germany. It supposedly is one the most expensive production in Swedish cinema. They portray the characters very true to life even though I believe Arn is a fictional character. So many of these types of movies are cheesy so I thought I would point this one out as worth watching if your into historical fiction.

With Val Kilmore? That's a very good movie.

Val Kilmer is a talented actor. His Doc Holliday character is probably my favorite. Another good suspense thriller with Val that not many people know about is "Spartan".

Pacific Rim if you want a no brainer, possible the best effects ive ever seen, mindless escapism and way better than some of the other summer blockbusters.
