RTK Tournament for Charity invite

Hello People of the Aggony clan

You are cordially
invited to register for the first annual 2v2 Charity Tournament, in celebration
of the 10th Anniversary of the Round Table Knights Total War clan.

Please bring your swords and tell your ladies or
your men that you're taking the field for the good for a worthy cause. Fight
for honor, fight for starving babies, fight for the nobility of excellence, but
gird your loins for true.

An entry fee of a small donation to a selected
charity will be required for each team entered. The winning team will receive
one nVidia 580GTX and one Steam Game. The winning team will also select the
charity for the Grand Prize Pot. RTK will match all donations up to $400, which
will go into the grand prize pot. All donations will be for a charity on the
list approved charities. If you know a great charity that is not on our list,
there is a forum for you to post for approval.

This will be a standard 2v2 elimination tournament,
with 1 week rounds. Mixed avatar. Best of 3.

Registration ends: July 19th

First Round Begins on July 20th.

On request.

Why Make a List? After much consideration, we have decided to offer a list of approved charities for your registration donations. With a large prize, and a world-wide community, as well as fraud in charity organizations, we felt it necessary to limit donations to clearly legal, non-partisan, international charities that focus on health-related issues. If you don't want to donate to a Paypal account in order to enter this tournament, pick a charity from the list below and donate to that. It's good to have a cause in mind.

Proof of Donation? We do require proof of donation in the form of a screenshot of your receipt (please block out personal information using MS Paint or other). Post the screenshot in your registration post. To take a screenshot in Windows, hit "print screen" and paste into MS Paint. Then spray paint over personal information.

Know a Great Charity? If you would like us to consider another charity for the donation and/or Grand Prize, please post in the discussion thread with links to the charity. We will not consider any religious, political, or partisan organizations, and want well regarded international charities for this tournament.

List of Approved Charities

Here is the list of approved charities, with links for your personal research. Each charity is well established and reviewed by independent charity research organizations.

Large International Charities:

UNICEF is a UN sponsored organization to combat poverty, disease, and provide security for children in poor countries. UNICEF has been actively pursuing its mission for 60 years, and sponsors new campaigns regularly. Donate directly to their newest campaign, Crisis in Sahel: “Over 1 million children in Central and West Africa are facing a nutrition crisis. Please help.”

Heifer International: This charity gives actual farm animals to poor people in distraught regions. As the charity's video says, gifts of actual livestock change lives by giving continual food, and a potential for a growing income. Additionally. each recipient is required to give an offspring of the livestock to another family in need. Your gift has babies. See here for information and videos: http://www.heifer.org/ourwork/our-work

Gavi Alliance: An International coalition that provides vaccinations to children in poor regions of the world.

Doctors Without Borders: Help this international organization send doctors to regions where there is little or no healthcare.

Mission-Specific Charities:

Nyaya Health: All donations go directly to a hospital and mobile medical facility in a rural village of Nepal, where there was not a single physician for a population of 250k until 2008. The webite has a helpful video embedded to show you where the money goes. Money translates to necessary healthcare for people who have no other access to professional medical care.

Schistosomiasis Control Initiative: provides treatment for neglected tropical diseases, often low-cost treatments that save lives.

Give Directly: This micro-grant style foundation that simply gives your cash to poor households in Kenya and they choose how to spend it. Sometimes the person knows best what they need, and how cheeply then can get it. Sometimes a goat will do more good than a bag of rice.

Against Malaria: Help fight malaria by providing the best protection from malaria: good quality insecticidal mosquito nets. 100% of donations go toward buying nets, and they’ll show you where your net shipments will go.
